Dave Van Dyke’s extensive and varied experience in media has captured every facet of radio and Internet audience engagement. In radio, he has worked in a diverse array of positions including programming, management, sales, on-air, marketing and research. Through his work with his research firm, Bridge Ratings, Dave is widely recognized for his ability to forecast and gauge media consumption across multiple platforms and to utilize field data to advise his clients. He is also known for his management of radio station rebuilding successes, taking underperforming radio properties and turning them into high cash-flowing corporate contributors.
Currently President and founder of media consumption analysis research firm Bridge Ratings and its subsidiary StreamStats LLC, the company has been providing radio stations with proprietary on-demand streaming data based on format core listener music consumption behavior.
Bridge Ratings LLC was founded in 2002 and is a media analysis corporation providing behavioral analysis of media consumers in the US, Canada, Mexico and Europe. Company clients have included Bonneville, Microsoft, Yahoo!, Amazon.com, CBS Radio, Cumulus Broadcasting and iHeart Media as well as finance and media investment firms around the world.
Recent published studies include music streaming behavior and how radio can use the data to properly align music playlists with music consumption behavior. The impact of digital media on broadcast radio, "Streaming and its Impact on Media" and "The Growing Fatigue of Pandora users", "How Song Streaming Benefits Broadcast Radio." Dave is also media adviser to broadcast, streaming platforms, podcasters as well as financial and legal firms with corporate or financial investment interest in media.
Dave has also served as Vice President-Broadcast Affiliations for Radiate Media where Mr. Van Dyke worked with hundreds of radio and television stations across the U.S. to help them achieve ratings and revenue goals with an array of programming content and digital tools including commuter data.
Dave has served as Vice President, Affiliate Relations for ABC Radio Networks and was Vice President and Station General Manager for CBS-owned and -operated KCBS-FM in Los Angeles where he pioneered the Classic Hits format with the ARROW 93 brand. He began his career as an on-air personality, moving into programming, operations and then to Vice President and General Manager of CBS-owned WODS-FM, Boston.
