At Bridge Ratings, our
product technology consists of a call-center providing phone
interviews, which are conducted Monday through Friday, 10 am
to 9 pm, and weekends, Noon to 9 pm (local times).
Geographic survey areas are determined by ZIP Code counts
for the market's metropolitan area as defined by the United
States Census, the United States Postal Service and conforming
to Arbitron geographics to assure comparable radio audience
samples.
The percentage of needed in-tab (useable) interviews from
each ZIP Code is then determined, corresponding to the percentage
of the population (12+ universe) within the geographical boundaries
of that ZIP Code.
The demographic counts available for each state, county, city
and ZIP Code are used in the determination of the population
and demographics of the survey area.
An unduplicated random sample of telephone numbers is computer
generated based on the ZIP Code directives, assuring randomness
among the sample. This random method of determining sample
households ensures that unlisted numbers and newly issued,
non-published households will be reached as well as normally
listed number for a full universe of potential households.
